and distributor of vitamins, herbs, and other dietary supplements under
the Source Naturals and Planetary
Formulas brands. Duties include weekly on site expert advice in quality
control, manufacturing, management, regulatory affairs, human resources,
and research and development. Tasks include construction, operation, and
management of complete laboratory, interviewing, product formulation, management
analysis and recommendations, cost control, computer training, issue briefing,
and many other tasks.
1978 to 1995:
Vice President, Sales and Marketing--Federal, State, City and County contract distribution of prescription and over-the- counter pharmaceuticals, surgical instruments, medical devices, medical equipment, laboratory reagents and medical supplies for United States Trading Corporation. Also responsible for the computer division selling computers, computer software, computer peripherals and computer supplies.
I developed and implemented a federal contract program from scratch.
I identified markets, interacted with vendors, such as the Department of
Defense, Veterans' Administration and other federal agencies. I sought
and received approval as a prime contractor and to date have administered
several hundred federal contracts to completion. I developed and supervised
state, county and city contracts and have administered several hundred
of these contracts. I identified customers, got the company approved as
a vendor and provided timely products and service. My ideas and follow-up
are directly responsible for the company going from 1978 annual sales of
$40,000 to annual sales of over $19,000,000 at its peak.
